my time lapse
this is the time lapse i did with dan and emily and its not the original one as dan knocked the power cable out and lost it.
we just basically took pictures repeatedly of our selves and this is what came of it.
Time Lapse video
Mindrelic - Manhattan in motion from Mindrelic on Vimeo.
This is a time lapse video of Manhattan. It takes place over a few days, capturing the shopping scene throughout the busy streets of Manhattan.
Time lapse is a series of pictures taken in regular time intervals e.g. taking a picture every 15 minutes over 24 hours and then playing it back to make it look as though it is happening in a matter of minutes.
I like this video because it captures the island of Manhattan during its sleepless day and night. It is structured by beautiful camera angles which captures the lights of times square reflecting off the buildings perfectly.

persistance of vision
persistance of vision is......... a simple but effective trick of the mind to make a group of still images played one after another at a rate of 17frames per second to make the illusion of motion eg, cartoons are one picture followed by another picture of the same image but slightly different.
The mind holds the the first image for a fraction of a second. So repeatedly doing this with slight differecnes in the pictures makes it look like the character is moving and is alive hence "persistance of vision" :)
